The Winners of the "Decorate Your Pocket Protector Contest"

The contestants battled hard to come up with these exciting interpretations of Geekness...

Rob McMillen's blog article Getting Your Geek On inspired some geeky silliness here at Triora. We held a contest to see who could come up with the sassiest, most creative re-design of one of Rob's 500 genuine soft plastic pocket protectors that have the Triora Group logo emblazoned on the front. So judge for yourself whether the wives, daughters, and even one of the geeks have come up with a pocket proctector worth wearing:

Oracle Ace Pocket Protector Small but feisty Bee Chasing Bunny Reindeer

Our first winner was selected thanks to her bold use of her new Cricut machine. Most importantly, though, she incorporated the Oracle Ace logo at the bottom, in honor of a certain Oracle Ace on the Triora team. Special thanks and a $20 Amazon gift certificate go to Paula White.

We were dazzled by Jamie White's presentation, which included the admonition "Small but feisty", which just goes to show that a true pocket protector-wearing geek can show her colors at even the earliest age. The use of rhinestone bling on the Triora Group logo was especially appreciated.

Is that a bumble bee chasing a rabbit? Sometimes that's exactly how it feels to be an Oracle Consultant. Special thanks go to Trinity White, a true artist who has captured her inner geek's whimsy so nicely.

And of course let us not forget the entry that set the bar so high, from Barb Matthews. Barb offered no explanation for the reindeer dangling off the bottom of her contribution but was thrilled to be able to fit pens into the pocket protector even after her glue gun melted parts of it in unexpected ways..

If you or a loved one are thinking, "Hey, I could have done that", then watch for our Collaborate 09 Decorate Your Pocket Protector Contest. We'll announce it in our blog and our newsletter when we get a little closer to the big event. The competition is fierce, so you may want to snag your pocket protector early, before Rob completely runs out of them. Just send us a note at geekon@trioragroup.com, and we'll mail you one. Photographs of entries can be sent to the same email.
